I would say the head was removed for a suspect compression leak and it ended up being the compressor.
Balloon inflated when the compressor was barred. -
That will hurt for someone. -
@Goodysnap is right on the money. Pulled apart for pressurizing, head gasket ok and head tested ok. Put pressure to the compressor and it inflated the rubber glove. Only bad compressor I have ever seen on a cummins.
I have had 2 Cat compressors pressurize the coolant system and a couple epa 17 paccars. -
Old style injector gear washer split and fell down into the tone wheel of the crank shaving it to a point. Tone wheel suprisingly still read so new washer and off to the auction. I got called out to cut one hole on it, came in for pressurizing. Only reason they found out the front washer had split.
We always cut all 6 holes, however in this case customer wanted to patch and signed a paper indicating so. Had to cut the hole extra deep to get it level with the others.Shawn2130, jamespmack, Flint1 and 1 other person Thank this. -

What else is wrong? You will likely not know this unless you are familiar with the engine.
MX13- EPA 17 -
I see what looks like burn marks on the body, near the tip. Injector seats leaking?
-
The cup is on the injector and is supposed to stay with the head.
SL3406, jamespmack, Shawn2130 and 6 others Thank this.
