Looks like I will not be able to make it back to the yard today thanks to my 8-2 split. Hopefully the load doesn't deliver in the wee hours of tomorrow.

EDIT: Ah, it does not. Delivers in Newport News at 11:00am Monday.

As of today you have to wear a mask when you go into a business in Virginia.

Doesn’t say how you have to wear it, just that you have to have it on. Not a fan of having to wear one. If they would quit flip flopping if it helps or hurts, maybe. But that’s a no for me.

 

Oh, I'll be dropping it on the yard tomorrow. One of the locals will deliver it on Monday.

Wound up with 2 hours of detention. I got there 2 hours early for my appointment and they started loading me early, so I figured I'd be out pretty quickly. But it turns out that when the mattress printer goes down, they can't print any new mattresses to load on the trailer. Took 'em over an hour to get it printing mattresses again.

Got there at 9:30am for an 11:30am appointment. Didn't leave until 3:40pm.

 

I haven't been up to Richmond since last year. I delivered my first and only reefer load so far. The best part about picking up the load. It was already on wheels.

 

I should do a better job of wearing mine. Look at it this way, if your mom caught it from someone not wearing a mask, would you look at it differently?


My major complaint about the mask thing is places that put up signs stating that you have to wear one, but don’t enforce it.

 

$10/hr ain't enough money to put up with some testosterone jockey yelling at you for being a ##### libtard because you asked him to wear a mask.
