Wipe it on your cuffs and it'll never get on your seats, that or you're much more flexible than me.

If you think it might be low then wipe it off and check again

I like the look of a good pair of bootcut jeans. You got some extra slack down at the cuffs to wipe your dipstick. Now if you can bring yourself to do it is different. My favorite pair cost me almost $100. it's been a great pair, comfortable, and durable. It still looks bran new! Its hard to wipe oil on a pair of jeans you got attached to.

Now a cheap, plain shirt. Sure!

Cheap pair of wranglers are 45 bucks, I don't get attached to jeans, if they last me a year or two I'm doing good.

I get attached because I have a quirk where I have a hard time wearing clothing that feels uncomfortable. I haven't worn Wranglers because they are tight, and tight is what I have a problem with.

The best way I can describe is I never get used to wearing anything, I feel the clothes all day. Like having a collar touching my neck, it's like sandpaper.

So when I find a pair of jeans that looks great that I can wear I'm extra appreciative.

Just get some shop rags and tape one under the hood somewhere... i keep a bunch in my sidebox so when i go in to get my winch bar to check straps my rags is right there as well to check oil.. Have some in my other box as well so when i want to check the apu oil i dont have to walk all the way around the truck....

I've always wiped the dipstick, put it back in, and then pull it out again for the most accurate reading. Started doing it that way with cars before I started driving trucks. I only do it when the engine is cold for most accurate results.

Just taking some of you old farts advice and look my best all the time. Take it as a compliment. Some jeans yeah, I'd buy extra baggy at Walmart and wipe my dipstick on them. But if I can drive comfortably in them all day? Ah man, gotta show the denim some respect. That's just me.

Yes, wipe it 1st after letting the oil settle for a few minutes before checking.
