If it pays as much as you would normally make in 4 days, you really have nothing to complain about.Lennythedriver Thanks this. -
I'd call the receiver and ask if you can deliver early. Sometimes the delivery date is the latest possible date... When you know when you can deliver talk with your dispatcher so they can plan you another load ahead of time.
Try not to get mad, just explain the situation. "I don't want to sit for four days on a 1+ day load. I can delver on such and such date and will be needing another load.
Try not to think they gave that load to you, with that much time on it, deliberately. they probably weren't paying attention. Unless you pissed them off somehow, and they are trying to get you to quit...Lennythedriver Thanks this. -
Call dispatch see if it could be delivered early.. If they say no then call customer and ask the same question... if they say no ... then show up anyways and most the times u will get unloaded unless they are real strict with appointment times..

My company routinely gives out weekend loads with an extra day or 2 so I use my truck as a personal vehicle and do something.
This weekend is Orlando Florida due on Monday, consignee is closed for the weekend but I can park there so I'm dropping the trailer tomorrow morning and going to Daytona Beach, the Orlando Outlet mall, etc.
My wife is with me so we get a vacation without paying for a hotel or transportation. Sweet.
I wonder how well a semi truck drives on the beach? LOLbryan21384, Coffey, D.Tibbitt and 1 other person Thank this. -
Put a lot of time on loads, then tell you,you can't
Deliver early.
It keeps them from not having to pay you layover.
If you deliver early they still might not pay you layover.bryan21384 and meechyaboy Thank this. -
Tell your dispatcher to take his / her F up load, F up truck, F up company wages, and shove them all up her / his wife's or husband's ###.
Tell them to message you when they have a real load, worthy of your attention.bryan21384, Coffey, BoostedTeg and 2 others Thank this. -
If they let you on the sand you won't have any problem. The part you drive on is very packed.
Do they still let you drive on the beach there?TokyoJoe Thanks this. -
LoneRanger, bryan21384, Coffey and 4 others Thank this. -
D.Tibbitt Thanks this.
