Do I need to hold a normal driving license for a certain period of time before I can get a CDL class A?
I noticed that it's a year in some states.
Is that the case in all states?
Is that the case in Missouri?
(I posted this in the CDL section too. I did it in case some posters only browse one of the sections. I wanted to get the most amount of information as I could. I can remove it if it's breaking any of the rules)
Thanks in advance for taking the time to respond!

That's great to know.
Pesky states requiring people to wait a year before they can get a CDL.
People are just going to hop over to the closest state that doesn't have the one year waiting time. -

The requirement for some to wait is actually for the driver to be 21 years old. The HazMat endorsement requires the driver to be 21. Otherwise anyone can drive a commercial truck (in some states) as early as 16 years of age.
Otherwise no, there generally is no requirement of 4 wheeler licensing
