I saw that blue Mack and clearly jumped the gun.

The new trucks have had them for a couple of years now. My Mack was the last batch not to have them. Got in it 2018. New Prostars and Pete's had them the same time I got mine.

You can take our Pilot/FJ points but you can never take our privacy. Who's with me?

They aren't driver facing I don't believe. If so that's a change for Heniff as well

I don’t believe they are driver facing either.

One thing I wish is that they were used more often in an attaboy sense. Just as quickly as they will catch you slamming on the brakes because you were tailgating someone, they will catch you slamming on the brakes because some idiot pulled out in front of you and you avoided an accident.

All companies could do a better job of using those instances as an opportunity to pat folks on the back and not just punishing the guy who is driving carelessly.

They had sent a letter out about the implementation of the people net systems, within the letter it talked about the cameras. Currently I believe they are all only forward facing from what I have gathered, the article mentioned them being made by samsara. The only forward facing model they offer that I can find data sheets on is the CM 31 attached is a PDF of the camera. Yes it does have AI capabilities.... how the implantation will be I can not say. I strongly recommend you take a bit and research the cameras like it or not I have a feeling they will be here to stay.

I am not looking forward to the peoplenet changeover. It's my understanding that Heniff is a real stickler for overspeed. You have to hit those brakes downhill because touching 70 gets you dinged. Wondering if I will get all the beeps and warnings with the camera that the newer Prostars and Pete's have.

I drive an international with a forward facing camera. I hit 75mph often and never heard from safety. The beeps and warnings, you get used to it. The thing I can't get used to is the slamming of the break. If the camera sees a brake light ahead and you are in cruise mode and you aren't on the brakes, it will slam the brake hard thinking you are about to crash. A very dangerous feature.
