Swamp coolers are great for arid conditions. Tho they dont work as well in humid conditions. Yet I am happy for you if your happy.
On the other hand, if you are near Ellsworth Maine, I have 3 small air conditioners that came from the Father in Laws appartment. Selling them for $50 each.

 

That is why this works. We're dry here. Not quite as dry as the desert. But close.
I just looked. Before I fired this up today. My humidity was at 30%. Now it's at 56%. That's in this room only for sure.
I used to love the swamp coolers in the Desert. Felt so good. It was because it got you wet. The evaporation is so great in dry climates. My father kept wanting to put one on our house. My mother didn't want it.
It would be tough to buy an older AC. New ones are so efficient. The utility bill pays for them.

EDIT: I was doubting if this would work any good. I knew from the Desert. It took the big swamp coolers with lotsa air flow and three big pads for the water. Smaller ones didn't do well. But this is working good the way I have it.

I'm not even as talented as a tarp monkey. Mine only goes on one way... and if it don't fit, it doesn't ship.

 

That formula I gave for cleaning out your arteries. It works. The garlic and lemmon one. But don't do it for over three weeks. Give at least a week break from the garlic. Shouldn't stay on garlic for extended periods. Not good for you.
I found another I'm gonna try. That's a tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil. With a little lemmon on it. Supposed to work good.
