Back on topic of rates and such. I've been slowly coming out of semi-retirement. My first couple of weeks of June were a little more encouraging. I hardly worked as is evidenced by my low miles, nothing to write home about, but certainly better on the rate front.

Not too shabby, @Scooter Jones. Slowed down for me a little this week, but we're in the back half, and it's starting to pick back up.

Getting more and more solid on my lanes. $1800 on 550 first day back and bagged a $1k on 250 today.
I learned something the other day. BIG savings if you pay your insurance all at once. I just did and it was much more of a discount than I expected. Like $1600 less for the year.zmster2033, PPLC, Long FLD and 7 others Thank this. -
I can tell you as a broker that the market is definitely getting tighter and we are paying more on lanes currently. Nothing like the wild and crazy times of 2017/2018, but certainly higher than we've paid most of the year.
Dale thompson, 86scotty and Midwest Trucker Thank this. -
