HAHAHAHAHAHA!! I am for sure not a recruiter. If you have no issues putting in a day's work - Raider Express is a fine company with a brand new yard opening in 2-3 months.
Also, some of the best downtime pay in the industry after 1 year service:
$225 Layover
Paid 34
$20/hr Detention -

I wasn't going to say anything and I am sure @Big Rig Max dont need me coming to his aid, but I've got express myself here. What is wrong with working at Raider Express? They have good equipment, you don't hear their drivers tearing up -ish. The member(s) bashing this company, have you worked there? Have you at least talked to the recruiters or safety? You're giving all of this hate because they are governed at 60 mph? For real? The big lie is that having a wide open truck nets you more money. It's not how fast you run, it's how efficient you are with your time. For those who run 65 or better, it ain't all the time you'll sustain 65, but Raider Express runs 60. It just kills me that so many members on here act like they know how every company is, and haven't even stepped foot in the their trucks. I haven't heard drivers complain about Raider Express for reasons other than slow trucks. They are doing something right. To bash a driver and his company for something as silly as how fast his truck goes is ridiculous. If a driver is happy, then I'm happy with him/her.
Big Rig Max Thanks this. -

Agree speed of the truck isn't everything. Let's say you avg 10mph faster than me - which you probably don't because you probably take twice the breaks I do. So you can move 100 miles more a day than me or 700 more miles per week than me. But I run 2,800 -3,100 miles per week - so you're telling me you run 3,500 -3,800 miles per week in reefer? Nah, not buying it.
Its hard to run 3k+ in reefer. So realistically, 65mph doesn't help you that much.
In addition, how efficient is your company with pre planning your loads? I'm on the phone with my company pre planning - "I'll be @ Cargill in 1 hour - got something ready for me?"
I handle my business so they lay the loads on me.
I had a friend drive for Werner reefer division. Brand spankin new Freightliner- which by the way I'm totally jelly about. He ran 68mph & bragged about it all day. But he barely got 2500 miles because when he got to Laredo or whatever delivery point - he sat for 24 hours. Layover was $100 I believe - might have been $75. He didn't get paid for 34 either.
If Raider sits me - $225 in my pocket per day. $337.50 for a 34.
I don't really care for the pissing contest - Like I said I'm happy with my check & sounds like Bryan is happy with his, too.
A word of advice to NEW drivers, its not how fast you drive. Its how efficient you are with your time and how efficient your company is with providing you loads - which takes a good dispatcher. I have one.
Now, listen - I have a buddy that drives at Raider that doesn't make my paycheck. He's slow, sleeps late, takes lots of breaks & is inefficient with his time. He's happy with his paycheck & I'm happy with my paycheck. To each their own.jeff18 and bryan21384 Thank this. -
