Nashville liquor store owner, 88, explains why she shot ...
    USA news platformnashville-liquor-store...
Nashville liquor store owner May Boyce, an 88-year-old widow who stands 5-foot-3 and weighs 115 pounds, according to reports, got “fed up” of her store being robbed so she shot an alleged shoplifter. She told police she grabbed her late mother Mary’s .38 Smith & Wesson snub-nose revolver and shot a suspect who was trying to steal alcohol.

“I did what I had to do,” added Boyce, now out on $10,000 bond. “After you’ve been played for a fool by people stealin’ from you for years, you get fed up. And don’t put me in the category of a little old lady. I know how to take care of myself.”

I blame liberals for creating a culture where thieves are lightly punished so they can do this and know nothing will happen to them. Here in California, we have a huge problem with homeless junkies stealing anything that isn't nailed down because they know they won't do any jail time.

Not saying what she did was right, but unlike most folks and so called "leaders" of today, those from the greatest generation knew right from wrong, stood up for what was good & right, and have had a very low tolerance for this kind of, and other kinds of, current BS...

California Law Allows 'Grab and Dash' Theft Rings to Steal ...
    September 2019california-law...
Law enforcement and the retail industry blame California’s Proposition 47 that sets $950 as the amount a person can steal without facing felony charges. Even when thieves are caught, their fines usually are less than the amount they steal. -GEG. California Law Leads To Spike In Thefts,

She was defending her property, I think she was perfectly entitled to do as she saw fit, I'll bet folks think twice before stealing from her again.

Many western states liquor stores are operated by the state... Like to see someone steal from one of them.

Stores need an override on the doors. While the thieves are loading up close and lock the doors. Sitting duck are easier to hit. Lol
