    and i mean that literally

why do u see so many drivers (off interstate) making right turns that they should be able to make fairly easy but riding 3 feet onto the sidewalk?

i see it all the time, im a rookie and i know i could make most of these turns with no problems, and i see guys do it all the time

they just start the turn to early......i dont understand why it happens so much, arent they suppose to be professional drivers?:biggrin_25510:

They DO NOT pay enough attention to there mirrors. When I started driving, my instructor would poke me in the right shoulder and ask, "what's in your right mirror". (LoL) He was not doing it to be mean but to show me how fast things can change.

I agree. Many drivers just don't pay attention. It's also laziness in that regards.

And this from a rookie who isn't even old enough to drive an OTR truck? Before you start bashing other drivers, I would suggest that you get some experience under your ### first. When you KNOW that you can do it... That is usually when you screw stuff up.

If they are doing it ALL the time... then obviously there is a reason. Me personally will drag my trailer over the sidewalk if I see that there may be clearance issues with the front end of my 379... I'd much rather beat up the trailer then the truck.

I was trying to stay away from this thread.... But for some reason I can't.

Ok Mr. Know it all. While don't you post what highway intersections & what cities these intersections are at. That way we will be able to tell you about them... Or get a aerial view posted so we can tell you exactly why the trailers get dragged over the sidewalks.
