Then he was late. Right? I don't blame a broker for wanting it quickly. His terms start once he gets that POD. 30/45 days whatever. If your talking 2k or 5k it isn't play money.D.Tibbitt, feldsforever, Concorde and 1 other person Thank this.

It might not be on confirmation sheet but most likely it’s in the original agreement when you first signed up with the broker.
D.Tibbitt, ZVar, 77fib77 and 1 other person Thank this. -
This is the best way. In this day and age, it really ain't much reason or excuse to do it any other way. Right after delivery send it in and it's out of your mind77fib77 Thanks this.

Just an example of another scumbag broker. It's unfortunate, but these are the things that shady brokers do. Try and speak to the broker supervisor. But please tell us who that broker is

If the everything played out exactly as the OP said it did, I agree that it's a dumb and scummy thing to do by the broker and is a great way to get a reputation as a broker that carriers don't want to haul for.
If the OP left out some details though like it was on the rate confirmation that the POD had to be sent over as soon as the load delivered and they ignored it, that's on him/her. There are plenty of shippers out there that are perfectly comfortable fining brokers for not following instructions, and as long as they are up front about those how those fines are applied when booking carriers they absolutely should pass the fines on to carriers that fail to comply with instructions.TokyoJoe Thanks this. -
I agree, but we can only hope the OP was being honest when asking his question.
