Ironically, this Chicago Tracksuit outfit backs up their driver way more than most Megas. :(

Phew, feel better? It's okay, we need a new X1. I'm retired too, but it doesn't mean I don't care about the profession I spent 35 years in. It's why I'm here, to possibly help someone , even though my knowledge is dated and to see how far it's gone. I'm a bit disappointed in you saying that, you don't care. Come on, pal, you only hear of the bad, there's a bunch of good drivers out there. We just don't hear about them,,,never did.

BALONEY! What warehouse do YOU work for? You could get in a heap o' trouble with a statement like that on a site for truck drivers. Think about it, when the goods come off the line, the truck driver is the 2nd person to handle the goods. They in turn take it to the warehouse, who take it from there.I'd say a truck driver is THEEE most important link in the chain.

    THIS IS FUNNY....!!

    this actually happened THIS MORNING..>!!!!!

i live off the nearest state highway, and when i left my house at YES.....5:30 AM, to go get the morning newspaper, and go for my walk.>??

i was on the street, behind a slower car, and then this moron, passes the 2 of us, crossing the double yellow line.

only to get stopped up ahead at the red light...lol

they all 3 of us, get onto the state highway, and that moron, is behind some slower cars, and he's zigzagging passes everyone...!

(and today is garbage pick up day, so the streets are a bit narrower, due to the garbage trucks....lol

it's just darned funny, that you say this, and IT DID HAPPEN, today.....lol...lol

i am here as well to lend "some advice", and other help when i can and able to.

but the sad fact remains , that as a retired person (or persons) we have NO CONTROL over what the CDL Mills do, the training companies, the alcoholic, drug using, poor background, crime ridden newbies do in the industry.

no matter the advice, and help we lend them, they only want to hear, what they want to hear, and validation(s) for what they have done, or want to do.

the only thing I KNOW I WILL DO IS, if i witness a dumbarse trucker/steering wheel holder, do something, and gets into an accident, I WILL STAY at the scene and tell the cops what i saw, and show that cop, my proof of being a former instructor, and point out what that driver did wrong.

I WILL ALSO BE a witness for the victims, of that dumbarse trucker.

and i believe, my past experience and proof of being a former instructor, will stand up in court.

case in point, I HAVE SEEN drivers from the cement block company, (near me) be in the LEFT LANE, THE ENTIRE truck AND trailer, to make a right hand turn.

    IMPROPER RIGHT TURN..!!!

these MORONS leave the entire right lane WIDE OPEN for anyone to drive up along side of them, so that THEY can take that right turn.

sorry, but i have no desire to "not see" that accident about to happen, due to an inept steering wheel holder.

so no, i don't care anymore, when dumbarse STEERING WHEEL holders are out there, reeking havoc...

I understand, you have a gripe, but people doing dumb things in trucks is nothing new. Truth be known, I've pulled some doozies, the boss never found out about. Now, I'll agree, there are some bad drivers, but I think, by and large, we still have the best drivers in the world. I'm sorry you're so bitter, and don't want to make an enemy, but maybe a good thing you did retire. Your posts show you have lost patience.

Happens every morning without fail. I’ve run the same route for many many years and it would usually be the same few clowns like clock work. Almost like they sit and wait for you to appear and then strike. But now it seems like it is EVERYBODY. Lol

at 70+ retiring was something it WAS time to do....

i lost my patience years ago, with stupid.

    i cannot stand stupid.

not that i am the most intelligent person, no way, i can admit that. but i am NOT stupid either......

but stupid lives on, and you can never fix stupid.

i co-exist the best i can, with the stupids out there.

just as long as they stay stupid, on thier side of the street, and don't cross that street into my zone.

    the stupid free zone.

He talks about trucking like you talk about the economy. Your replies are great, but I do smile a little that if you took your own advice, you may like it. :)
Hell in 30 yrs more of this business and world I’ll probably be twice as bad as both of you. haha

Don't blame drugs and alcohol, waybetter before drug, alcohol testing, bars at truckstops were common.
