Scale was open NB 35 into Oklahoma, had to pull in to weigh. Scale master after a few minutes, suggested I pull in to inspect driver front inner tire . I did and had to call for new tire .
How in world can they see other side of truck, especially the inner one ? .
I'm guessing I got away without A ticket? Heard that is a ticket , driving with a flat tire
Lucky break?

farmerjohn64 Thanks this. -
Someone could have called it in? I've heard they were using heat cameras (FLIR?) in some areas to shoot trucks to spot cold drums (out of adjustment brakes). Maybe the flat tire showed up hotter than the others?
farmerjohn64 Thanks this. -

I'm guessing they have security cameras/CCTV and can see all sides and angles of your truck.
D.Tibbitt and farmerjohn64 Thank this. -
In Alberta scale houses have infrared scanners you roll thru on the way to the coop, right after speed limit slows to 10 mph. Diesel bear told me they can detect less then 10 psi difference between 2 tires by heat, as well as hot/cold brakes and hubs. I always was gentle on the brakes before the coop, didn't want to give the bear a bone.

They've got cameras that can see all around your
Truck including underneath of it.
That's why we roll through at a slow speed.
There going over are trucks as we roll through.
They can see flat tires, air lines dragging, missing
Mud flaps or anything else suspicious to them.
Now how would I know this.
I got pulled into the Utah scale on I -15 about 5
Years ago for running the scale.
250 dollar fine had to be paid right then in cash.
Anyhoo, while I'm in there paying the ticket,
I'm watching all the trucks go by on a big screen
Television. High definition to boot.
As they roll by the they've got cameras in the pavement
That looks up at the bottom of the truck.
And they can move them around and zoom in
Up close.
It's unreal how clear the picture is and how much
They can see.
I was shocked.
They started laughing, they said it's all part of
This anti terrorist stuff, they can see if you have
A bomb underneath your truck.
Now that was about 5 years ago.
But they told me all new scale houses from
Then on would have all this stuff.
Including anything new that comes along in
