Thanks for letting me know. I guess I'm confusing you with Last kid, trying to find out if he's still with Central.

Thanks for the advice, got a call back 10 min after your reply. Looks like I'm heading to SLC for training the 5th of Oct.
Anyone know with the couple of terminals Central has, how much freight goes into and out of Phoenix area? Do you think it will be a issue when home time is needed, or is that a fairly neutral place to live?

I might have to push my start date back as I lost my Social Security card some time ago. Unfortunately, I don't have time to get to the Social Security office to be able to allow 2 weeks before my start date and I need my passport in a week so I can't send that. I'm going to have to work something out to get a replacement card somehow. Anyone know anything I can send them to prove my identity other than my drivers license or passport?

Go to your local Social Security Office. I know that in Missouri they can print you off a verification of your SSN and it is generally accepted until you get your offical card. You may want to talk with your recruiter to see if this is acceptable until your card is received. Only a suggestion.

I am going to be checking in to Central, also. I need to talk with a recruiter and check for certain that if I do not pass, I am not going to have to pay the tuition. If I recall correctly, they also now have an Application Fee of $100.00.

I just sent Sarah another email regarding the receipt vs. the card. We will see. I may have to try to get tomorrow off to go to the SSN Office. Unfortunately I may not be able to go until Monday, which is 2 weeks from my start date in Fontana and cutting it really close to get the card in time.

I am pretty sure they want your SNN the original not a copy, someone else had that problem if I remember correctly

My original was shredded by an army recruiter sometime in the last 3 years after I forgot about it...

I'll try to take a few hours tomorrow to go down and get that taken care of. The other thing I have to do is go down to Walmart and get my vision tested. I got a semi-physical a few weeks ago and everything checked out there. Ducks are hard to get into a row...

***UPDATE*** My dad is gonna be within a mile of the SSN Office tomorrow, he is going to take my paperwork and my passport and get my stuff done for me. If all goes as social security says I'll have my SSN Card the week before school. =)
