I wouldn't have taken that job. But that's not how you quit.

I wouldnt work that job, thats for sure... Id bet he thought, "Oh this sounds really easy and I can make an easy couple bucks." But the reality is that anything "door to door" sucks!

He probably wasn’t told he’d be running 200 stops a day...

You gotta do door to door deliveries getting in and out the van about every 5 minutes. Now do that for 13 hours. And you’re 1099 so you don’t get benefits nor get paid as much as UPS. I don’t blame him for quitting but I don’t agree how he handled it.

    Lonesome and Tb0n3 Thank this.

That’s not the only issue at play here either.

Ever see what a UPS package car looks like after they get done stuffing it with boxes and packages that all look the same except for the labeling?

I did the other day when I was at the loading dock of a hospital rearranging my own load of crap that some idiot on a forklift made a total mess of.

Your first stop, or part of it, could be at the bottom of the pile. Your last stop could be a giant box on top of everything and in the way.

Got me thinking, when I haul grain and load myself I'm calculating about 98 times in and out of my truck in a full day.

    How come?

For keeping an eye on your suspension pressure guage while you’re loading?
