I have to wonder what you guys think when you see the "Student Driver" on the back of a trailer going down the road. I have seen a few that have passed me and either waved or gave a thumbsup going by or there have been a few that seem to try to get me or the other guy nervous by getting as close as they can while passing. The instructor said they were just testing our "nerves" lol...![]()
What do you guys think when you see a "Student Driver"

do you think there are millions jobs of your choice outside trucking business? you probably will have a hard time finding a spot as a janitor too.
it almost sound like some truck drivers are greedy and don't like to see new comers come to the scene, so more jobs are left for you. fact is, everyone has a hard time finding a job at any job sphere. but as a driver you will have a better chance, they could at least team-up and gain experience and in a few months find a job and keep climbing the ladder by driving, year - 2 - 3 etc. my girl friends have a hard time finding jobs even as a waitress. and guess what, after several years between these jobs one will still have no future and the other one will. that is why i see "student driver" signLast edited: Sep 23, 2009

when I graduated there were typically 4-5 full COLUMNS of ads every sunday in the newspaper for trucking jobs. NOW there are typically 4-5 ADS for jobs - from the same "bottom feeders" who can't keep drivers even in this sucky economy. also, your post didn't make much sense. I'm assuming you're ambitious to be a truck driver. companies won't hire a 22 year old. some require you to be 25. good luck.
also, when I see "student driver," I can't help but think how sweet it must be right now to own a truck driving school. there has been talk of "fat cats" lining their pockets with money lately. but it AIN'T the owners of trucking companies! -
Some companies require you to be 21 years old.
