I worked for Yellow. I never worked for YRC. I was laid off at the time of the merger.

Tell you one thing, we are busy here, I am at my via terminal and they still have trailers in the yard from this weekends extra runs, I am sitting and waiting for my trailers to load and close out, no complaints though, I would rather wait here knowing I am going home tomorrow as opposed to a hotel room three to five times a week during my past systems life.

Yellow for two years, ABF for 5. I liked Yellow much better than ABF.

But what about all the running I do in the summer? While you're at home having sex, playing with the kids, and living life, I'm in the truck doing 3200+ miles a week... EVERY WEEK!

    LtlAnonymous and Texas_hwy_287 Thank this.

Guys. Please stop arguing. I've driven 1750 miles per week for almost the entire last year, so...

You know. While you're there complaining about your shoes, I think you just met the man with no feet.

I worked at ABF for one week when I was in between carhaul jobs, while I was waiting for a job to open up in my home city. I told the ABF TM when I interviewed that I wasn’t interested in 3rd shift, but I would work early am or 2nd and he said no worries. All was good until Friday afternoon when the dispatcher said to me “see you at midnight Sunday”. To which I said “ not unless you are at my house and I don’t see that happening”. Needless to say I didn’t work that next week. Luckily Allied Systems called me very soon thereafter.
