At risk of jinxing myself: I will complete my lease in a month. Was it worth the time/effort? I can't answer that for you, I can barely answer that for myself. Looking back it seems I started yesterday, but I can remember those weeks that seemed to last for years and the months that lasted a lifetime. Many times I was ready to pull the plug on this experiment and I drove with very little personal gear onboard in the event I decided to be routed back to Dallas to hand in my keys. Time/effort vs. money made is too subjective. I had no expectations of wealth and fame despite the advertising and my trainer's hype. Well, maybe a little, but reality hit fast and hard. Really I just wanted a black truck. Some drivers sign on thinking money will rain down on them. They are quickly frustrated. They may learn to adapt; to run a lean business. Or they may quit and whine to anyone who'll pretend to listen. I have no kids, wives, girlfriends, mortgages, rents, or etc. I drove solo and didn't "hustle" or hijack loads. I averaged the minimum 10,000 miles per month. After two years I have a downpayment towards a new truck or a nice old cash truck for my very own. I will not buy it from Stevens. I will not do the lease again. I will not lease my new/used truck to them. God bless the Aarons, they are wonderful American capitalists. It's just that I don't speak Texan. I think it may be possible to make the money they advertise. But it takes communication and people skills that I have never had. I would not recommend any lease program from any company. Save your pennies, buy a truck, run the snot out of it and buy another one. DO NOT run a lease truck with a company driver mentality.

You still out there? Completed the lease yet? Stay safe have a great week! -
here's the thing about the lease completion bonus...as told by my alliance trainer. ITS YOUR MONEY already. it's 3 cpm taken out to hold for repairs and such, if no repairs are needed at the end of the lease they give it back to you...nice of them huh? to give you back your own money lol...I just completed my 5 weeks with a trainer. Not really looking forward to being cheap labor for another trainer making him money, and only getting per diem...

As much as I complain about ATS, I will say I've met a lot of guys who are into thier third and fourth lease.
I've also met many guys who can't make a check this week, and haven't had one for a long time.
Leasing right now isn't the best idea, if you can get hired as a company driver. -

Drive a company truck. You will make just as much money with a lot less hassle. I used to be a leaser, just not worth it. I have checked details on countless lease programs and for the most part you are better off driving their equipment. Don't fall into that false hope that you will make $100,000 a year, you won't. Good luck.
