union vs non-union deliveries

    You can get away with deliveries to most places in the city..depending on what you're carrying..most companies will have you deliver in Jersey somewhere and than transfer..where you will HAVE to have a union card is construction sites of any type..they will have a teamster standing in the street checking cards.

    Stick tight someone will know more..all I know is the construction side.

    So what if you don't have a card? They turn you away? Even if you have something they need? Rhetorical question but what a way to run a railroad.

    it's been a few years but a union man rode in your truck with you after you paid $60.

    Is that after you charge 'em $120 for seat usage? $60 gets a catwalk ride, $0 is the DOT bumper.

    I have done many loads to the NYC area. Normally Steel going out of country but some construction materials.
    I am not union and never plan to be, and there is no way in hell I am paying someone to ride in my truck or to have a load unloaded from a flat.
