If you can find a trailer that was built to put a rolling tarp (Conestoga) on it that doesn't have the kit on it the side marker lights should be located under the rub rail. That way you're not breaking lights with the straps. The Conestoga kit covers the area normal rub rail lights are.

When I did open deck the company I worked for had a lot of different trailers. I never used the j track. They always seemed to have snow ice or rocks in them. What was important to me was having sliding winches on both sides. Dump values are nice. Also a Dunnage rack and a storage box. I did prefer the combo trailer to all aluminum. The aluminum always seemed slippery. But if u have weight issues nothing u can do.

Fair enough, 2 years under a reitenour with j track, anytime I needed it, poking it with the j hook cleared it out enough to use opposite side winches, rarely an issue for me, but I've got enough ratchet straps 2,3,4" that j track solves the issue when needed
Ty for the inputcke and singlescrewshaker Thank this.
