How many small businesses do you know could go 6 months at 50% revenue loss? How many recently started small businesses do you think can take that? Hell, take away the 600 dollar federal unemployment bonus and we'd have riots of people wanting to go back to work because they're about to lose their house.

We are experiencing a real life Trolly Problem. No matter what you do, people will be hurt - what is the best course of action?

There is a cost to staying open.

Again, reread my post. And I’ve worked for companies that have contingency plans in place in case of catastrophic events.
    (I’m working for one now...)

Yes, no matter what people are going to die. Frankly short of millions of dead like 10 million, not might die but already dead, it's not worth the power you're voluntarily giving government over you.

So the economic costs of staying open don't matter?

What economic costs of staying open? We're printing a trillion dollars a month, paying people to sit home on their ###, how long before you need a wheelbarrow of money to buy a loaf of bread?

Please read the links I posted - many economits believe that the overall impact to the economy would be greater without the lockdown/restrictions.

They must be using some serious drugs while doing their calculations.

    Did you read them?

If so, which part of their calculations are wrong?
