1) Most likely, you might NOT be able to own a truck without a CDL, even if you are NOT the one driving it. You REALLY have to check with DOT on this one, along with the individual state that you would want to register the truck in.
2) Also, if you are not able to get your CDL back, you may want to sell the truck and look for a job in another line of work. You need to start getting both a paycheck and a continued work history ASAP.
3) Currently, the unemployment rate is 16%. There are 41 million plus people out of work, (which comes out to 1 out of every 6 people to 1 out of every 7 people being out of work).
4) Unless you have family responsibilities or legal obligations in Massachusetts, you may want to stay out of Massachusetts PERMANENTLY. Whatever state you do move to, be sure that you can at least obtain and hold onto a regular driver's license. Be EXTREMELY CAREFUL with it, for the remainder of your life.
Good luck to you and your entire family!

this can and will be fixed, just wondering if i will have a pot left to piss in, and if it will be worth it, it just hit me that even thought the truck is parked they are going to come for the insurance, then the plates, then my mc becuase i am unlicenced,,,, FML -
You having a license has nothing to do with the rest of it......
You just need a driver with a cdl for insurance
Lots of trucking companies owners don’t have a cdlLast edited: Jul 24, 2020

Like to gamble?
You say you know nobody you trust with a CDL to drive the truck for you.
You say you will go under if the truck can't be driven.
Roll the dice. If you choose bad on a driver you risk more trouble.
If you let the truck sit you sign your death warrant as a one man business.
What do you have to lose? You could just give up, but that's not a fun option either.
Put out an ad. Hire someone. At lest try.
It' ain't over til the fat lady sings. Delay the fat girl singing.
Good luck though either way. States can be very stupid at times.
SIrscrapntruckalot - Roll the dice! YAHTZEE! - I always wanted to yell that during a game of craps...Badmon, Cattleman84, AModelCat and 1 other person Thank this. -
Check out harberlaw.com. They are in Texas and specialize in cdl suspensions and cdl dui. On the website they state that you can apply for reinstatement of your cdl after it has been suspended for a second dui. Worst case get an address in a state like Texas that allows cdl after 2 DUI's.

Somebody in Florida must be an idiot to allow another state to tell them that your license is suspended in a state that you don't even hold a license in and the last time you did it wasn't ever suspended, was it? -
any state can put any cdl driver in withdrawal and every other state must honor it, its like mass is shooting up a flare saying i am disqualified driver, but they just happen to be wrong, and corrupt......Last edited: Jul 24, 2020
