What rear set up do you all prefer and why.
My AG200 is in need of a rebuild and to convert it over and put bushings in I can just go buy a cut off with a million less miles on the diffs.
I was thinking low air leaf(ag400l) or flex air. I would kind of like to stay with a pac-car product just to make it a little easier when I gotta go to the dealer to get parts but there suggestions welcome.

Honestly if you want something that is simple and rides good and is cheap to maintain the Freightliner AirLiner suspension is the way to go. Cutoffs are a dime a dozen and there are only 4 bushings to replace when you put it on your truck.

If you want to stay with Paccar for sure then the Flex Air is the lightest. But it has a lot of moving parts and will eat bushings if you don’t keep everything tight.

I'd find an old air leaf off a Pete.

Get a nice freightliner air ride. Best riding suspension of all time.

Only 4 bushings to replace and they're about 50 bucks a piece and you can do-it-yourself no sweat.

Airliner/nu-way would be first, low leaf would be second

are you slicing and dicing the frame or removing and mounting to your frame? I have the pos ag200 as well and i ####ing hate 8 bag

I plan on cutting the frame and adding about 20"-25" to it in the process since my truck is kinda stubby at 240" right now. I can doit with just once splice with the cut off vs 2 with the normal stretch . The truck already turns terrible so may as well make it a little worse lol.

I look into the air liner too, I had that on my columbia before I sold it and for a 200" truck it didn't ride all that bad.

Simplicity is the reason I put Airliner on my KW. Plus its singled out so using the Airglide 100/200/400 would have looked goofy with that huge frame bracket.

I actually just watched a video on youtube and it says the new AG400L (low low air) and the air liner actually use the same bushing in the front of the spring. I'm just doing research and saving some pennies right now as my truck as been kicking my butt with repairs lately. I am just putting in new sway bar pins in the front axle this weekend since they are only $175 a set compared to what its going to take to rebuild or replace it all.

One other thought is I've actually thought about putting a newer front axle on too, ive heard the newer W9's turn a fair amount better than the older ones like my 98 but ive never driven a newer one to know for sure and haven't been able to figure out the difference in the axles to see if one is wider etc etc.

    New one is wider.
1322w is the part number i recall.
Friend of mine that used to be on here did the conversion, said its the best upgrade he ever made to his truck. I dont recall what all he had to change other than the beam.

My 97 doesn’t turn to bad for being a 282, if you were thinking about doing the front as well I would probably start looking for set ups with disk brakes as well.
