No sir. I’m brand new to trucking. No ELD experience or anything. We were thrown in a truck and had to figure things out ourselves.

You're driving a non-cdl box truck is probably why you haven't had issues with DOT inspectors.

The only way to be legal in a truck without a sleeper berth is if you are both resting at the same time (off-duty either in the truck or anywhere else). So, since that's the only way to be legal, it is pointless to try and run team in a truck without a sleeper. A single driver can sleep in a truck with no sleeper as long as they log it as off-duty.

If you get stopped and inspected, or worse, get in an accident, not only will you get crucified by the authorities, I expect your company will hang you out to dry too.

Here is a link to hours of service regulations if they apply: Electronic Code of Federal Regulations (eCFR)

So basically me and my team driver are being taken advantage of with time to make longer deliveries without the hassle of DOT

See I didn’t know that. So basically with us not knowing what we’re doing to a point, if we get in ANY kind of trouble, we’re screwed

Many companies do that. Use box trucks that don't require the drivers to have a cdl.
Some drivers on this forum have been doing that for years. Some because they can't get a cdl or cdl job, because of problems in their background or MVR.

I’m from South Carolina, moved to Texas, and found this driving job in Atlanta. Seeing as I’ve talked to my boss about the possible hazards and I don’t feel safe, my team driver wants to stay, so since we’re in Arizona, I’ve booked a plane ticket home
