    Must be a more mild type of cigar, like a Swisher Sweet or similar that smells good and not like old socks; I thought I would ignore all the advice from other cigar enthusiasts saying you should start with a mild cigar and I jumped in head first by buying a “full bodied” cigar (I think that’s what it’s called, been awhile) lol

    You've stopped dozens of times.

    I made several failed attempts. Stopped for like a year once.

    It's the hardest thing you'll ever do.

    And I'd say it takes about 7 years for the craving, or the desire to cave in and light one up, usually when you're bored, to go away.

    I’ve tried, but there’s times when I enjoy a smoke.

    Fortunately 2 packs will last me a week.

    Yea i was a carton a week. I LOVED smoking.

    Unfortunately smoking is an option, breathing is not.

    10 yrs ago I quit smoking. They way I did it was slowly cut down from a pack a day untill I was at 8 cigs a day over a year. Then I tossed the cigs and started 'chew' (Copenhagen, etc) I found that chew completely satisfied my craving for nicotine and did not need a smoke. Then......After chewing for a couple years I was able to give that up. Giving up chew was a way lot easier then going cold turkey with cigs. So anyway, I don't smoke or chew these days!!
    :cheese::cheers:

    Ya sound like my wife...same w/ her. I may bum 'one' of her cigs...every coupla days. I'll puff a cigar or pipe every now and again, moreso... but don't 'crave' any of 'em.
