I was up so high on a mountain in California I was above the morning fog and I was like “woah wtf is that Jesus over there? Oh wait no that’s just another dirty ####ing hippy wearing Jesus sandals and a bath robe”

You’ll need self rising flour, 2/3 a cup of cooking oil, one egg, a table spoon of butter (my own twist, gives it more moisture), 1 cup of powdered milk and 1 cup of water; add all the ingredients into the bowel except for the flour; whisk it together real good, now add about 3 cups of the flour stirring after each one and the tricky part is to not add too much because your biscuits will come out dry if you do; keep adding little sprinkles of flour until it makes almost a ball of dough when you stir it and it’s ready to go; meanwhile you should have had the oven preheated at 450 so when you’re done you can throw them right on in; in a fairly good size skillet (I use cast iron) add a thin layer of cooking oil because this will brown the bottom of the biscuits; with your bowl of dough, depending on how big your hand is, grab a handful of it and begin to form it almost the way you would a meatball or hamburger, but make sure you have a thin coat of flour on your hands or else it’ll stick to you and mess everything up (also this is a problem if you use too little flour), once you’ve got it looking the way you want it continue this process until you’ve filled the skillet up nice and tidy; place in oven and cook for 17 - 20 minutesLast edited: Jul 26, 2020

@TripleSix has a slick road thread somewhere. It's a good read, I'm sure he'll link it for you..
Best to start perusing through it now & get familiar in your spare time. Winter seems a ways off, but will be here before you know it..

I giggled at @Eldiablo not driving it much. Can be a lot thirsty.
Interesting enough the chev big block has been in production again for a few years. Company called PSI has the rights. I own 2 now.
1st is on propane. Liquid propane injection. Has injectors similar to gas engine. Low rpm engine. Redline is 2500rpm, 570ftlbs tq at 1400 rpm, 270hp at 2400. Perfect for a school bus.
Propane uses a 10.1 compression ratio. Barks like a chevelle
We just bought a gasser. Uses slightly less compression ratio, 9.1. Same hp only 548ftlbs tq at 1400. They are now geared differently. New one has 6.14 rear axle ratio, and the now use all 6 gears in the allsion. -

I helped some dude last winter at the bottom of lookout pass (montana/idaho border on i90) chain up at about 3 in the morning. He was from texas never driven in the snow before. I said "well god dang what a mountain to lose ur chaining virginity on." He had to be 60 something years old and here was a 24 year old kid teaching him how to chain. It was snow up to our knees in the chainup area. I told him take it easy up and down the hill, find a good gear to pull u up and when ya get started down the hill grab one gear lower than u climbed and light pressure onthe break u will be alright. He took off and I threw my tire socks on , eventually i made it all the way to the petro in spokane and found he was parked there. We went in for lunch and he picked up the tab and thanked me for showing him. He even said it wasnt that bad but just a little nerve racking.
So dont even worry @farmerjohn64 we all been there. I never drove in snow until i started driving a truck. Those first couple times are always nerve racking and for me the first snow storm of the year always makes me nervous . But u get a couple storms under ur belt and get up and down some mountains u will be ok and laugh at all the guys that say if they have to throw chains on then they park it. Them guys would never make any money out here in the rocky mountains, its just part of the job in my opinion.beastr123, 650cat425, PoleCrusher and 8 others Thank this. -
