After the first 5 years you wont want it anymore... Trust me, that much land is ALOT of work to maintain. You either need to hay it, or graze it... Both require near daily work.

Or let it go back to nature.

Which is why the top acre where the shop is and the house will sit is the only part of my 6 acres not replanted with trees.

Yeah, putting timber on it and letting it go is about the best option for low maintenance... Just carry good fire insurance.

Already established forested land would be amazing!!! The hardest part would be the first few years I would want to go through and clear out most of the undergrowth as a fire preventative... Not to mention it looks better.

Its doable with a truck when its dry... But if it has rained much or if there is snow, you can forget about it. Its not even plowed in the winter. Only accessable in the winter by snowmobile or horseback. If you kn w what your doing you could make it, most winters, in a good 4x4 pickup with chains on all 4 corners. But you better have a way out, cause if you get stuck there is no phone service for many miles.

All this talk of math, physics etc are offending me. Can we go back to random nonsense that I can follow?

There's a couple of good land sites out there if you do a search of google. I have in the past. I always used "Cheap land rural". Ton of results all over the country.

Zillow is one that popped up.
    Landforsale is another
    And a whole lot more.

I don't vouch for them other than they gave me results. I've never bought or sold anything through them. So do reviews and that fun stuff if you do find something.

Most of the sites had rural land to. Nothing done to it. So it's natural self. They also had ones with utilities, etc etc

Sadly I'm not ready to leave my sandbar yet, well I've found nothing to make me want to yet. lol. I win the lottery and I'm buying the 175,000 acres near me though! 1k per acre. Ha! Of course...it's right smack right on top of the refuge, so there's tons of trees an work to be done with it..I can dream though. Black bear, deer, red wolves, river otters, fishing, and best of all....No People near by. :)
