@Trucking in Tennessee, has the procedure for properly using a mask changed? Cuz the fact still remains I see ppl using the same disposable mask all day, cashiers touching products, then adjusting their mask, handing products over. Ppl with them around their necks, then putting them up over their mouths without sanitizing first. To me that increases risk. Me? When I go in somewhere I keep my distance. I don’t touch my face, and I sanitize my hands the moment I’m back to the truck. I spray my bills when I get them back from a shipper or receiver with disinfectant spray. I’ve never been healthier. I always get a horrible spring cold or flu. Not this year. So that tells me what I’m doing works for ME. Knock yourself out with what you think works for you, I don’t judge, but quit judging others and trying to impose your will.

PS - stop being a Richard. It’s unbecoming.

You think he makes this up? Writers go to the source for their stories. They don't invent things. And the risks are pretty well know, as stated in the article. They are finding more too. Due to circulation problems many places are putting patients on blood thinners to try and help avoid amputation. Again....THIS IS NOT THE COMMON FLU.

You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink. People are going to be careless. I can't control what they do. These are the ones that catch it. Even my GF says that some health care workers and RNs are sloppy in their work. There are all sorts of people out there. Just like truck drivers. Some very good, some awful. I have stated many times that I use sanitizer all the time. That is what will prevent you from getting it more than anything. I am not stating what works best for me. Try and comprehend what you read. I am stating that masks help prevent the spread of germs. Nothing more. Why you are trying to imply that I do not know. Most everything I post comes from the CDC or WHO. I don't make this up. WTF is Richard? Stop telling me what other people are doing. I don't care. Try and focus on the subject matter.

    DETAILS
Accurate: The author correctly lists the potential long-term health effects of COVID-19 infection, namely permanent heart damage, permanent lung damage, strokes, muscle weakness, and loss of cognitive function.
Inadequate support: Exactly how Veaux calculated the probabilities of various COVID-19 outcomes is not clear. Furthermore, there is not yet enough information available to determine the risk of various outcomes of COVID-19 infection with certainty.

"Fun" fact - - in one single day last week, more Covid 19 cases were reported in my home state than the entire country of South Korea has experienced since the beginning of the pandemic.

The population in my state is about 21.5 million. The population of S. Korea is 51 million.

This is ONE DAY in one US State versus ALL TIME in one country!

BTW, everyone in South Korea wears a mask in public!
Because they have sound national leadership, high quality masks, testing, and contact tracing are and have been available at all times.

And finally, because the average person there is considerate of others; they make the effort to understand how to use a mask effectively.

But, they don't have a bunch of whiners complaining about their rights, they just do what is compassionate and intelligent.

These facts are borne out by the numbers above!
