Sounds like our 579’s at work. Replacement bumpers for those are chrome. Sure, they look nice, but it means the bumper was replaced which means you hit something.

I don’t want the chrome bumper of shame.

People would always ask me “how do you know if there’s sharks in the water?”

I would tell them to stick a finger in the water, and if it tastes salty there’s sharks in the water.

Chrome bumper of shame is hilarious. I gotta figure out how to turn that into a tarp monkey joke. LOL

One thing that was slightly encouraging is that great whites can’t do a lot of the things portrayed in that movie, nor do they get that big or keep people on the menu except by mistaken identity. They like their food a little more blubbery, like seals....or perhaps “otters” ;) :biggrin_25523:

I asked the veteran surfers that I was out there with and they were Like what ever Dude.

    See them all the time.

Surfers aren’t the brightest crayon in the box

Once I flew over the beach in my parasail it was enough to convince me I don’t even need to dip my toe in the water there.

I see sharks all the time up by the beaches in SW Florida when flying overhead in the parasail but their sand sharks.

I’ll windsurf or go diving with my speargun but not a big fan of floating and looking like a dinner.

Not worried about the rare Great White. Probably die of a heart attack before it bit me.

Dang Bull sharks bother me. Was spear fishing on a reef off Tampa a couple months ago and the spearing was Phenomenal

When the Bullshark showed up and stalked me I was immediately surface bound.
