Just a body/gate/headboard will be about 15k for something decent, add in hinge, piston, tarp etc it’s just going to go up if your not doing anything yourself

Less than one year on the box, hydraulics, and associated mechanicals.
875,000 on truck. MT643R Allison automatic.
I could let this extraordinary example go for $55,000

So, you only haul feathers or cotton balls?
If my calculations are anywhere near accurate, and they are, if you loaded 6 ton of 1" open, then you'd have about 7 yards of material.
I'm thinking that you must be building tandem drives. Because, you could never haul 6 ton on a single. But, why would put a puny 6 ton box on a tandem drive?
If, in fact, it is tandem, then it'd not be possible for it to catch my old A model if you were empty and i was loaded out at 13.5 ton.
Speed is relative, but in todays big power truck world, 400 horse cant get you out of the way. Let alone catch or pass the end dump lined out in front of you.

    Wow, hater of the year.

    I drive a quad that hauls 19t.

These baby trucks go to the foreman who use them to pull a skid mainly and sometimes a couple tons of rock.

400 horse is plenty for single axle truck with a tiny box on it. #### a lot of new dump trucks that weight 25k empty only have 350 to the crank then you got emissions to bog them down further.

Fellas, I apologise. I was cranky and didn't come off well.
I didnt think I was itching for a fight, but after reading what I wrote, it sure did sound like it.
    Sorry.

I like that super liner and blue and white kw.

trucks in mn are weird. You need a quad and quint to haul the same a tri axle could haul in other states.

quint for sure helps you on spring road restrictions but they can only haul like two more tons than my quad and we don’t really work during road restrictions.

Haven't had a chance to do an update on my build. Got it all put together, had Future Line in Cedar Rapids, Iowa build one of there Tuff Bodies for me. The body is a demo style made of AR450, highlift, coal shoot and powder coated. So all together I have a 2000 Pete 357 with 20k front, 46k rears, 4.88 gears, Chalmers suspension, Allison 4560 trans, and Cummins ISM (380hp), the Tuff Body and all hydraulics and cylinder installed and have $54k and some change in it. Pretty have with how everything went together and how it looks. Sorry for the delayed update on it, happy truckin! 15958792992278104869234399095847.jpg 15958793424103015128163001916791.jpg

    Nice job!

Was that truck a truck tractor or was it some other type of vocational truck?
