Better check what genetic defects might have crept in while humans were breeding these things for specific traits (like bat ears). Still remember when I was a kid, neighbor's Irish Setter having epileptic fits due to breeding/genetic issues.

 

Awhhhh! My puppers had one a few (four?) years back...when the arse hat 'neighbor's kid' shot him (accidentally) across his hindquarters with a .223 .... <<<< yeah! Couldn't prove he did it,no charges filed. Kid's in jail for something else now.

I'd share pix, but..mine were a bit graphic, even for my taste. Poor puppers'.
