I went to freightliner and it was temp fix I don't want to have to replace the whole thing. F.Y.I if you want to foece regen a Detroit turn on, idle 2 min, clutch in, shift to first, back to neutral, press regen button. Started right up lets see if I can regen the dpf yellow off. P.s. filter and 400 bill didnt turn off light and 400 dollar bills to turn regen on could have been saved had anyone told me I could shimmy a switch. Just wasted thousands officially. Heck, it was online.

Guess what.. Back in action. I did a manual forced regen by clutch twice and the little yellow dpf light went out red light off lost two faults and I'm no longer sedated. Awesome!!! I just saved thousands if not the whole thing. Also, I lost thousands taking it to the shop when all it needs is shimmy ya. My guess the sensor goes out and you have to proactively force a regen twice a week or god forbid do a few when the light comes on. Yiud think the dpf lasts as long as the engine but there are some backward thinking. Thanks.

FYI for anyone that has this problem. Change out your differential pressure sensor for your dpf. The sensor is less than $100 and is only two small hose clamps and two very small bolts, something like 4,5, or 6 mm sockets will work. On my 15 670 it was on the front corner of the dpf so you’ll have to remove your passenger side fairing under the door. Took me 5 mins and probably saved me a buttload in diagnostic fees.

What software do you get to clear codes and force regens?
