    2k between oil changes?

4800 hours on my Dynasys so far 1 starter, 1 alternator, 2 AC Condenser, 2 fans. I change oil/filters every 500hr.

Well I was supposed to get one put in, but, I blew a tire and couldn't find the size tire I needed anywhere. I had to cancel on the guy installing the one I talked about. Im guessing he was upset because he isn't answering my texts or anything. Im not gonna chase him down so back to the drawing board looking for an apu. What do they cost brand new? And do they already come with inverters and the heating unit?

Bought my 2015 carrier in january of 2018 with 7605 on the clock from my boss for 2500 bucks installed .
6 months in it had some electrical issues that had everyone scratching they're heads and finally a new engine ecm did the trick .
I've maintained it to the max along with keeping it clean inside and out .
At 13000 hours now and it's been a good unit overall .
Proactively replaced the starter and alternator at 9500 hours .
Every 2000 hours I just have new belts put on it because that's generally when they will fail in our fleet .
Going into the shop on monday for a new water pump as it is weeping coolant .

If you buy from a dealer, then it will probably come with a inverter. For giggles I did a search and there’s a place called “Dales apu” in Springfield mo they have 1 year warranty and 2 years on the motor. Prime sales used units, but only one listed right now.

If you’re alternator troubles are like mine it’s the brushes get worn out. Mhyn posted the part number before he was banned.

Yep, 2k is the interval. I did mine at 1800 or so just because and the oil was still fairly clean.

Tripac owners as mhyn mentioned the part number is good for Bosch style alternator. If you have OEM TK alternator then search on ebay for this:

VOLTAGE REGULATOR 12V FOR MAGNETON UNIT FITS THERMO KING 1E32216G02

    It's $39.99

one tip for Tripac owners. IMO alternator and voltage regulator go bad because of excessive heat . When belt is worn or little oversized belt is used the alternator will be very close to muffler. So don't use OEM tripac belt. Go to NAPA and choose a belt that after installation will keep alternator far from muffler.

I got my rebuilt ThermoKing from Dale's. They did honor their warranty, but eight trips to Springfield MO for warranty work in 12 months was pretty expensive. It probably would have been cheaper to buy new. And oddly enough, as soon as I started going elsewhere and paying for repairs, the reliability quickly went thru the roof.
