Ain't been paying attention to skates but vans are pretty darn good in the areas we run but short hauls always paid. Lots of ~200 mi runs paying 1000 or better. But thats what they should be paying anyways

What do you guys figure is a reasonable rate for 400-500ish miles? Kinda curious what it'd cost to drag my KW out here when I find some land or if I'd be better off hauling it out with my pickup? Probably take me 3 or 4 trips to do it that way though.

450 miles should pay at least $1125, That's $2.50 per mile. I know a company right now hauling flatbed Hardie Board paying upwards of $3.50 per mile and only have to go 500-600 miles and its direct freight, NO BROKERS!!

That's actually not all that bad. $1600 Cdn. I'd burn probably $800 in fuel doing it myself and my time is worth something to me as well.

I personally know an O/O that was getting roughly 7-8 of these loads per week and he was doing them himself. He would drive the 500-600 miles, deliver the load, and then deadhead back. He showed me that he made close to $10,000 per week with one truck doing these loads. He owns 18 trucks and all of them are paid for so he doesn't really need the money per se.

Too funny. I know Superior well. I used to own a piece of commercial at Tyndall and 19th Ave. A block up and over from Superior.

18 ave is where you turn to go directly to the front of the store, I had to take 19 to go to the back lol

The guy who operates the crane just walked up on me and started talking about a bunch of religious stuff and then this other guy who was pretty cool asked me about how he’s thinking about getting into trucking, but said he smokes too much pot and I told him Western is the place for him rofl

I’m delivering the load I’m picking up right now in Albuquerque, NM and the other half or so of it back to El Paso; I’m getting pretty decent time back on my recap after today so I’ll probably be there in 3 days
