Lol ran mine like a working truck..... Only reason the outside got washed was because the engine needed cleaning and they would not do the engine unless they did the out side also.
It's one of the(many) things that bugs me about JB. They have a service that comes out to the yard every other Saturday to hose down the trucks. They do not open the hood or even catch the back half of the frame very well.

@Dave_in_AZ do u ever get the acid on ur wheels ? They tried to sell it to me but no thanks. Doesnt that ruin ur wheels if they are polished ?

This is what wheels that regularly get acid look like... They would look alot better if they were wiped down every time with a soft towel before they dried... But they are more of a matte finish than a gloss finish like polished wheels get. Mine get heavy acid every week at the yard when its washed.
The black streeks are from acid slowly draining from the lug covers while parked.homeskillet, Rideandrepair, WesternPlains and 7 others Thank this. -

So we're at the shipper. And the truck is rocking.
The question is: Do we drop back down the hill and take 10, or go over to 40, drop down 95 and take the scenic route.

Could make the inspection even more profitable/easier in their eyes.
mine had an oil leak that I got fixed but it had coated the bottom of the cab/trans area and got written up for it. Paid for an engine wash to appease the DOT then cussed out the dealer for not cleaning the mess under the truck as I asked them to when they fixed the leak. They had one of the kids do a terrible job on it after I "issued my complaint". Yep never went back to that dealer again.
Ended up going to a local mechanic and paid him $200 to do the job correctly.
Only place I have found that will actually roll around under the truck as part of a steam clean is the independent truck stop/truck wash in Salinas, CA. Got to make an appointment to get it done though. http://www.sturdyoil.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/Wash-outs.jpgInTooDeep, homeskillet, Rideandrepair and 7 others Thank this. -
