West Coasters..... I need road info!

    I'm on my way to Ft. Irwin. I don't see any reason to go all the way to Barstow, CA just to backtrack on I-15 50 miles.

    So I'm looking at jumping off I-40 in Kingman, AZ. Running 68 over to bullhead/laughlin. Then 163 to 95 north. I've ran those roads before, so there is no need to tell me about them. The road I have in question is 164 that cuts off of 95 & looks like it goes into I-15 just south of Primm, NV.

    Can anyone tell me about that road?

    the only access road to NTC is off I15...so your basicly stuck goin to barstow

    o and enjoy the view of the dry lake from jackhammer pass......as they say

    It's only 4 miles less, and will take longer, but you can do it. There is only 1 road in and out of Ft Irwin.

    Only 4 miles less huh? It looks much shorter then that on the atlas with the big swoop to the south on I-40 going thru Needles Then I-15 back tracking...


    Only if you disobey the speed limit.
