I'm sure he is adding that creative directors touch as we speak for his next video.......for someone that has never had any training in the area of editing videos you seem pretty comfortable with all those special effects. Keep up the good work!

I had a local film/ music video specialist over at the house this morning and he was watching your video over my shoulder, if Werner don't work out he told me he was pretty impressed with your video, using very basic tools he said it looked very professional..... for what it is worth.

Carpenter 41, adjust your expectations to what you will receive. A school is there to teach your CDL <PERIOD> They can teach nothing else. Anyone who expects more will not be satisfied. They cannot teach you what it will be like as a trucker. They cannot teach the policies of every carrier. If you successfully receive your CDL they have done their job.

OG, hold the quote on your signature close to your heart. It is the industry in a single sentence. As I stated above my perspective is different than most. I retire from the Air Force and including my military time have spent more than thirty years in management. It has been said that the military really scews things up. I submit that if you really want things thoroughly screwed up give it to a civilian. The trucking industry consumates that statement in platinum style. Boys and girls, it's not the drivers fault. The fault lies squarely on leadership's shoulders. All I ask is that as drivers we do our best not to contribute to the weakness of inept leadership.

Hell yes there was a problem! Some dumba** decided to play volleyball with a bunch of neighborhood 20 somethings at 50 years old and had a heart attack! So the company doctor picked up on that and sent me home to get a stress echo and get cleared by my cardiologist to drive. End result is a one year health certificate.

The last time I played volleyball was in NCO leadership school. I sprained my ankle. I have determined that volleyball is hazardous to my health!

I am ashamed that the video didn't focus more on trucking. I will try to be more focused in the future. Other than driving a lot the first week I have to say it was somewhat uneventful and I needed to get a feel for what should be included in the video blog. I feel certain the character and content of the blog will change from week to week. And that's OK.

Please subscribe to the blog to be notified when I post new ones. This will also let you make comments and ask questions. I will do my best to answer these as time permits.

No need for good luck. Set your sights on the end goal. find a company that will hire you as a fresh-out. Go forward and above all don't question your decisions. Everything you experience will be what you make of it. Nobody is going to coddle you. It is military basic training without the marching and hollering. Keep your expectations in line with reality and you will do fine.

Whine and post it on here and I will nail your sniveling butt to the wall. Let me put this statement in perspective. I came from a handsome salary with an excellent company. I was in a leadership position responsible for budget and personnel as well as policy and performance. I drive a "paid-for" BMW M3 convertible, ($70,000 sticker). I have a comfortable home with a pool, a beautiful loving wife of 38 years (our marriage, not her age although, she does have the energy of a 28 year old and may have contributed to my heart attack!). I am still on track to retire at 60. I hate being away from home but I am disciplined enough to recognize that only I can control my future and mature enough to recognize that only I have the responsibility to make it happen for me, NOT anyone else. Maybe that reflects my military background, maybe that is just someone who expects little from everyone else. But, it is my reality and because of that I am usually very satisfied with the actions and performance of other team members.

Gawd, I'm ranting! Stop typing Mark, and post this! BTW, this wasn't pointed at anyone in particular. I just get carried away. Sometimes I think it should be the men in the white coats carrying me away!

    Cheers dudes and dudettes!

    I'm doing it now.

I have spent the past 10 years in the car business and cannot see myself 'finishing out' in the car business. I used to travel on the road as a salesman for 15 or so years and loved it...so I'm going to school and let it fly.

oregongrown i like the new sig, ive seen that happen a few times......that is a pup (28 foot trailer) and they are more likely to tip....people will overload the nose and it will tip up like that

alot of newer ones have a dive leg in the nose now that you lower down to about 3 inches off the ground before u load it to keep it from tipping

Does anyone know of any of these "Vocational Schools" around central Florida? I've checked with a few community colleges and they don't offer any CDL courses. Sage at Indian River Community college is the closest, but they are around $4000-$5000.

I speak the truth. Fact is, all my artistic talent was in the dirt under my pinky nail and I cleaned that out. The iPhone or winders will only let me download short clips. I was forced to discover that breaking it up looks better. It also helps with dialog screwups because I adlib it all.

Thanks for the positive feedback. I truly am flattered. Now go subscribe and rate. I hear that means something.

Roadmaster is close but I heard they cost a lot. You could try Mid florida Tech in orlando.
