Truck Load Rates Halt 8 Week Slide 2.0

Things that make me shake my head today:

Carriers accepting a load, and swearing up and down that they're going to pick it up, followed by an email five minutes later that their truck is covered.
Customers requiring me to thread a needle for two separate loads to get them loaded, then when I present an option, it's not workable requiring me to initiate a mad scramble to get it done at the eleventh hour.
Dispatcher swearing up and down that 8'6" is 103" wide, despite me taking five minutes to explain to her how multiplication works.
Colleague pissing off one of my reliable carriers in the morning necessitating a call to my cell phone that starts with, "Hey Paul, are you at your desk? If so, can you take a walk?"

....I do believe I'm going to have a drink tonight.

 

I have a bottle of Makers Mark, stop by we'll see if we can find the bottom of the bottle.

 

Not certain on where you're at, but I may take you up on that.

 

Booked a load and go same day delivery. 1550 260mi. Re load coming back thru the house 1200 375 mi

I cracked into my bottle of Willett after I got the boy to sleep, the wife went to bed, and I ran a few errands. Probably my favorite bottles of any bourbon or whiskey out there. They're just neat looking. Tastes good, too.
