Sleep studies

I dodged the Concentra bullet for 4 rounds of physicals. We have 10 drivers that fell in to their money trap this year. So yesterday I went to a different doctor and paid out of pocket. $60 and got a 2 year card.

 

Just to clarify, I've always had a 2 year card. I just wasn't willing to deal with Concentra anymore.

 

Why the sleep study? You didn’t indicate on any form that you snore, did you? Tell me you didn’t do that.

 

Good old concentra, the prostitutes of DOT physicals. The minute they pulled out the tape measure for your neck it was over.

 

Concentra seems to test everyone now. I don't snore. Never had. My BMI is 20% (low for a female) and they sent me for one.

 

Always in my first group of questions I ask of a company I am interested in. Who does your medicals. If they say concentra, I say thanks but no thanks. If I am going to be forced into a cpap, I might as well go back to Crete and get paid better for it! LOL I hear Averitt has a test that you take back to the hotel and use and have to bring back in the morning. Havent been able to verify that yet.

 

Find a new examiner. I've had luck at different Concentras. The one I went to in Carlisle, PA had an anal doctor (no, not a proctologist), while one near me is easy-peasy. I hate those who want more info from my doctor because he's hard to reach without an appointment.

My opinion - find a decent Concentra and stay with them.

 

I told the Las Vegas Concentra Doctor to shove the Cpap up her ### and was banned from the building. Probably still am all these years later......
