Cell phone with a wall charger and car charger
Credit card in case you need to rent a car
A good attitude and the ability to not quit when your trainer turns out to be a dill-hole.
All the other things can wait until you’re in your own truck.
Just get through it. Don’t quit, and honestly you don’t seem like the type, but if you quit you just start over at zero someplace else. Get your year and a day in and be gone to greener pastures.InTooDeep, 650cat425, Speed_Drums and 5 others Thank this. -
When I drove for CR England. They only asked that you had safety tread shoes (sneakers) for working in their refrigerated trucks. There was no need of steel toes. I took the $400 with me and was able to fold up half of it if I needed a ride home. Funny part was I found that 200 after I had been home for 3 months.
You might want to get a pair of sweat pants. When it gets cold in winter? You can wear the sweat pants under what ever other pants you wear. To survive winter, it is all about layers of clothing to survive the cold.650cat425 and Wasted Thyme Thank this. -

I would bring 8 days of clothes and wear T-shirts and shorts. It hot in Texas this time of the year. Have seen a place or two request drive wear regular pants to get inside. Usually is some safety rule they have. It can get cold out west by end of September. You can't pack for everything. Most driver wear sneakers. Sleeping bag, I guess a pillow. Soap and shampoo and toothpaste. Really you can buy stuff if needed if you have access to a car when training. Most truck stop have washer and dryer. They have lot of stuff at truck stop but you don't want to buy everything from truck stop. Debt card or credit card is nice to have. I don't pay much with cash anymore, because with coin shortage even truck stop like exact change if paying cash. The washers and dryers have card readers so they don't need change most times

So slacks/shorts are ok. Guess I just need a few more items from above.

Don't forget the shower shoes, some all rubber ones work the best. Like these no Velcro or nothing to hold dirt or hold water because they never dry out in shower bag. Unless they are all rubber from my experience.
Chinatown and Wasted Thyme Thank this. -
I usually use cheap flip-flops for that.

Yep
Almost forgot Chower Choes.
And for those who don’t get it.
2 Greats from the past
