I worked for Schneider in 2011 briefly, do they still have that 60 mph crap and did they put cameras in the truck watching the driver.
Who is the best mega?

I went with Swift and have no complaints. They have treated me well and kept the promises they have made to me.
So far I think the most important aspect has been their focus on Safety. From what I understand, it wasn't always this way, but it has been for me since I have been here.
I don't care to be a Supertrucker or Hot Dog. I just want to be a good, competent, safe, professional driver. Swift has always supported me along those lines. I've shut down on several occasions, usually weather, and NEVER had any pushback about it. Actually, kind of the opposite and have been thanked for making the safer choice and shutting down if I didn't feel comfortable or safe with driving in the conditions I stopped for. Regardless of the effect it has on getting my load delivered on time.
They have also never pushed me to do anything but run legal.
As I have told my Driver Leader, my priorities are 1. Being Safe (after all, it is my butt in that seat, I'm not an adrenaline junkie) 2. Being legal and then 3. Getting load delivered on time.
Anyway, lots have different experiences with Swift, mine has been good and in no hurry to go elsewhere.TB John, Farmerbob1 and born&raisedintheusa Thank this. -
Also, @Moosetek13 has been with Swift for some time.

As for miles, mine varies from around 1000 to over 3000 some weeks. i
I probably average between 2000 and 2200. But, I am not a mile ##### and as I stated, my priorities are a bit different than most. I don't necessarily need lots of miles and those that run me understand that. So, I don't think I'm a good sample of milage with Swift. My priorities have to do with going different places and making myself useful. I have patience, so I can sit at a shipper or Receiver for too many hours without getting frustrated and that kind of stuff. So, sometimes thet have me take loads to places they know tend to take too long. I'm also good with traffic and routing, so I sometimes get sent to places that can be difficult to get into or out of either due to traffic or location. On the other side of things, I REALLY do not like night driving, so they are pretty good at keeping from having to run at night.born&raisedintheusa and Farmerbob1 Thank this. -
I had a blast at Werner. They bought my "first" car. I say "first" because it was the first on car payments lol.

That is a really good looking mustang. Does it have a 5.0 litre V-8 engine in it? What year is it?

It all depends on the rookies situation. If you’re a 10x felon western express is probably you’re best bet. I hear Schneider has decent training but that’s just what I heard someone say. Their all crap in my opinion and I would urge new drivers too check out mid sized carriers that will train , pay and treat them better. I don’t understand why so many think you can only get your stripes at a mega. It’s just not true. Now maybe if you live in some remote part of the country but for most of you just put some effort into looking around you’ll find a decent mid sized or small carrier you can start with.
alds Thanks this.
