I blew past the weigh station on the 680 climbing that hill coming up out San Jose. I was empty and blowing past the slow trucks in the right lane. I had no idea the station was there until I came up to it. There was no way to get over safely so I kept going full steam ahead. I was looking around but didn't see any cameras. Never heard anything about it. (I know, I should have been aware it was there)

If I can't exit the lane of travel at the minimum speed limit, usually 45mph, and come to a stop at moderate breaking with the space available on the exit ramp, I don't even try to pull in.

    So far, so good.

    A dash cam helps....

Believe that if you want to. I've seen jumpers pulled over plenty of times. An Idaho cop ran one down right in front of me just last week.

Is the company from Fresno, Ca ... or a suburb of Chicago? ... answer. They don't care. Only here for a couple of years to make some coin and go back to whatever 3rd world country whence they came and live like a king

Prepass is a device that your company uses to load the weight of your truck from the bill of laden. The scales know how much you weigh, and let you go on by. It also helps if your company has a good safety rating as to whether they pull you in, even with prepass.

i had many times, by-passed a scale house, when the ramp, or shoulder were jammed up with long lines.

it is 1000% UNSAFE to park on the shoulder while waiting to inch up to the scale house.

although i have no links, there have been MANY accidents with vehicles rear-ending trucks on the shoulder, and WE HAVE ALL READ such wrecks.

question, WHO IS 1000% responsible for THAT wreck then..??

chase me you SOB's, a fine is still CHEAPER than a lawsuit, ANY DAY, ANY TIME, and twice on sundays.
