FREIND OF MINE SIGNED ON WITH JB HE WENT TO TENN. FOR ORENTATION THIS GUY HAS OVER 10 YEARS OF DRIVING. HE WAS IN A CLASS WITH 22 OTHER DRIVERS AND WHEN THEY GOT DONE WITH TRAINING JB DID NOT HAVE EVEN ONE TRACTOR FOR THESE GUYS. MY FRIEND SAT FOR 3 DAYS THEN SAID HELL WITH IT AND WENT HOME. DRIVERS BEWARE OF JB ONCE AGAIN.:biggrin_2552:

It does'nt matter how many HORROR stories a placed on forums
like this, the lemmings think " IT WONT HAPPEN TO ME".
Well people--it can and most likely will. And WHEN it happens to
YOU--- "YOU " are to blame. JB HUNT does NOT now or will it EVER care about any driver. Drivers are a dime a dozen to be used and abused by them. They will burn your career in a micro-second and NOT look back.

Trucking companies, Large trucking companies, will sit empty trucks for several reasons even though they have drivers waiting to get into those trucks and try to make a living. One of the biggest reasons is "Trade-In-Value". Less milles, more trade in they can possibly get. Another reason is taxes. Loss of income from that equipment can sometimes be written off resulting in a lower tax bill and a higher tax return. Someone will more than likely tear this apart and say it aint so but it is so.

First time I have heard of just going to orientation could mess up your DAC.

    -Driver beware.

-Still better than being a fool and being hired on though.

Heard of several different companies doing this, not that uncommon. My only question is, if he had 10 yrs exp. why is he going with JB Hunt?

Good question, if he has 10 years experience why is he even in a class? Unless he had 10 years of idle time.
