When i was in my 2015 cascadia the fuel gauge was broken so it would move back and forth between empty and full . Well sometimesit would be stuck on full and id call in for fuel knowing that i needed some, and dispatch would tell me " the computer is saying its full" ... and we would go round and round every single time... god i dont miss that crap.

They access the truck sensors for fuel level, which may differ from what the fuel gauge says. Somehow it's more accurate and they use it to calculate fuel stops.
