All done now. Got everybody dispatched for tomorrow. We’ll have a convoy going to PA. Picking up within 50 miles of each other and delivering within 50 miles of each other.

A little motivation to begin August.86scotty, Midwest Trucker and Vitkouski Thank this. -
So far so good. Only issue is one tire on the used trailer blew, recap, didn’t blow all the way, split the sidewalk open but still held air until he could get to the truck stop. Booked right now until Wednesday on everyone, 23,165 revenue, 2.30 all miles. Getting them home Friday and I have two new satellite units for the reefers coming. The two in them now aren’t working.
Orange713 and Midwest Trucker Thank this. -
I also added an oil bypass filter to my reefer unit to try it out. They took an oil sample and a month to 6 weeks I’ll do another one to check it out. It’s a company called Clean Air Fleet out of La Crosse, WI. I met them at their shop to do it. It fits in the limited space nicely. They put the these on APUs, truck engine, industrial equipment, and hydraulics.
Lostkeys, Siinman and Midwest Trucker Thank this. -
I’m working with Fleet Air Filter now. I’m going to send them an air filter housing from a wrecked LT and a stock filter. Trying to get one made for my truck. They don’t have one right now. I’ve read lots of good things about the Fleet Air filter and want to try it out.

Been really busy. Had to replace a trailer tire, Volvo CAC pipe cracked, Freightliner needed new bushings, Ubolts were all loose, tie rods loose, pinion bearing replaced. In the process I did finally fix the Volvo, back to 7.5 mpg. It had a hole in the exhaust. Replaced the exhaust pipe from the DPF back and it runs great.
The new guy I hired has the need for speed. Had 11 pages of speed alerts, events greater than 72mph, in a 10 day period. I changed a bunch of engine parameters, in several days, zero alerts. I should have done it before putting him on the road but didn’t have time. Luckily he wasn’t caught. Total of around 4K on the Freightliner, and 3800 on the Volvo and trailer in about 10 days, maintenance cost. Used trucks suck. But, it seems these lingering issues I couldn’t solve, are finally solved, after months of messing with it.Constant Learner, Midwest Trucker, basedinMN_ and 8 others Thank this. -
