@Just passing by I talked to the recruiter and she sent me an email with some info. So they have driver facing cameras? That's pretty lame. Not a deal breaker but was wondering if it's ever presented an issue to you or anyone you know at Elliott.

I think that's the new normal if you're a company driver. I have driven a truck w/cameras since 2011. I just talk to it like "Welcome to Louiiiiisiana, camera! How'bout them cajun roads?"

I've always had cameras facing forward in the truck since I started driving in 2017. I'm talking about a camera facing the driver. Seems a bit excessive to me.

Not mine and I can't recall any other food grade haulers paying either. Best you can hope for is a company that has deals with tank washes where they use them as a drop lot also. I have quite often just dropped a dirty tank, hooked to a clean one and kept rolling.

I've worked for 4 companies since 2016 and only one of those didn't have a driver facing camera.

I will say that the email the recruiter at Elliott sent me says you get paid $35 for having to get your trailer washed out.

I don't miss the roads in Louisiana. ESPECIALLY New Orleans!

I forgot to mention I put in an application at Elliott. Just waiting for their third party background check I guess.

Hope it works out well for you, driver. If nothing else you'll get liquid tanker experience. Like I said before, I like it here. Is it perfect? No. But neither am I... lol

    650cat425 and Cobrawastaken Thank this.

I remember back in 2013 ,Chinatown, I used to read your posts here. Glad to see you are still posting.
Back then , I had to go with Schneider, not having experience. Then quickly I moved to Heniff. Three years ago I came home.
I am hauling gas. So far, honestly, 10.5 hours/day, 5 days /week, some training of a new driver, placed me every year at 80-83k.
I don’t see the point of being out there on the road for 70k.

    650cat425 and Chinatown Thank this.
