Does he mean they have a check valve inside.
    I don't think so. But, I couldn't 100%say they don't.
I think I just replaced mine with hardware store fittings when they broke.
I might have bought from a parts house but I'm pretty sure they were free flowing fittings, no check valve inside.

They are just "regular" fittings. The check valve fitting that holds fuel prime is on the ECM cooling plate. Depending on your N14 the check valve fitting might straight or 90 degree.

im wondering if the cam sensor could cause this? i mean..i did put a new one and coolant sensor back in February this year. the coolant sensor was off ebay..but i believe the cam sensor was from the dealer. only thing is im.not getting a diagnostic code for a cam sensor..only for the coolant sensor.

Engine timing sensor does not always throw a code. Unplug it and look for oil contamination inside connector. Replace if you see any oil or the tip of the sensor damaged.

wouldnt it shut down if it was cam sensor? when it was throwing a code earlier this year the truck would turn on but stumble and die after a few minutes.

Not always. Just like any other sensor if it is still reading a value, albeit a value that does not allow the mechanism to function properly, it will not "code out" Ex. engine coolant temperature sensor reading 500 degrees and keeping engine fan always on. No code because it is reading a temperature.

well heres the update. never tried that cam sensor. but, had a friend who was thinkin the same as me....thinking its a wiring problem. suggested i jumped the acc terminal and the bat terminal on the ignition and switch and sure enough it fired right up. so..im guessing the green wire that feeds the accessory on the plug is fried somewhere..or it tripped a fuse somewhere? anyone have a wiring diagram for this type of truck to trace where this green wire goes?
