    Hopefully, they refused to haul
I agree with that to a certain extent. I run strictly reefer, And as I am sure you're aware when people stop going out they eat more at home, as I'm sure you saw the grocery stores were bare. But yet even the reefer rates tanked.

Have the rates gone up more for dryvan than other general freight types? I'm not sure I see anything above a seasonal rise in flatbed this summer. But I have a narrow perspective there.

    Yes.. van for sure.
Been waiting for van rates to drop but haven't.
From what I see I'd be making more money with van than my stepdeck

Everything I've seen points to dry van rates being the most heavily impacted.

Flatbed rates have gone up, but the national average RPM for flatbed in may was 1.90 RPM and dry van was 1.6RPM, and now they are both even at around $2.25 RPM. So Flatbed has gone up but not like dry van has.

This is kind of hilarious to read. A short term spike in van rates has a lot of flatbedders considering a transition to van now?

About the time it takes to do that, the national average will be right back down to $1.80 average or less.

Just stay put put, dry van folks are nothing but a bunch of window licking, lazy door slammers anyways ;-)

Again you still know nothing about me. My trucks, my equipment, or what I do. Offering 80k a year is great, but honestly from the way you come back at me, I bet there is more to the story as to why guys aren't calling. And there are also several other factors that can contribute as to why guys may not be calling.

I came back on the road in mid June and only went home for like 3 days, im gonna stay out and make as much money as I possibly can even if that means not going home for the remaining of the year, I'm not taking any chances of missing out on these record shattering rates like i did in 2018 where I got lazy. I suggest every o/o to take advantage of these moments and stash away all ur money and don't make any big purchases.
