Just something to consider
If you ever get unemployment...it goes off the employers state. Not your state...so don't choose Missouri!
I know that's the last thing on your mind right now but it is also a consideration if your company gets acquired or you set yourself up for it tactically like I did out if spite
Ups in Louisville is the obvious Kentucky employer btw. Worldport is always hiring. Seasonal is the best way to get in off the street because they will just ask you to stay on. -
Schneider hires newbies and has a tanker yard in Louisville. That is who I would recommend. They will pay your school stuff you'll make ok money and could transition to the brown truck and make the big bucks.

Well, that's one person experience. Probably more to the story.
I know a guy that worked there for several years and liked the company. -
Just remember some threads with fairly detailed info about how things were run there.
